Bath Time!!

Thursday, January 29th, 2009

Turns out that one of the things Luke absolutely loves is water. Who knew? We thought bath time would be a scream fest of monumental proportions. But to our surprise, he couldn’t be happier. Of course this means that we’re happy too. Happy Luke = Happy Kasey & Dan! Here’s a couple of pics from today’s bath.

Luke pre-bath modeling his “Pee-pee Teepee” (which in case you’re wondering works amazingly well). Judging by his expression, we think he’s already plotting how to get us back for posting this picture:).

Happy Luke cont.

Friday, January 23rd, 2009

What a difference a week makes. Seems like it was only yesterday when we saw Luke smile for the first time. Today he was all smiles. Okay, maybe that’s a slight exaggeration. While he still has more than his share of fussy moments, his happy time seems to be increasing each day. Not surprisingly, nothing puts him in a good mood more than a full belly of food. The change is so noticeable that even Abby likes being around him now….which if you know Abby and her dislike of loud noises is saying a lot:)

A happy Luke is change we can believe in!

Monday, January 19th, 2009

While there’s no doubt Luke has been a handful over the past five weeks, there isn’t a day that goes by where he doesn’t amaze us with something new. The latest change that he’s discovered is his wonderful smile. The first glimpse of a happy face came last week, but over the weekend he broke out into several ear-to-ear grins that stopped us both in our tracks. In honor of inauguration day here’s a collection of happy Luke pictures…definitely the kind of change we can believe it.

The new faces of Luke

Friday, January 9th, 2009

In the first three weeks Luke had two expressions: 1). eyes closed and sleeping, or 2). eyes closed and screaming. But as he approaches his first full month of life we’re seeing new expressions daily. Not only is he focusing in our faces, but he’s following us as we move, and gets excited when he sees us enter the room. Very cool stuff.

Hook ‘em

Thursday, January 8th, 2009

Since our college teams are now 3 – 0 when Luke shows his school spirit, we plan on stocking up and outfitting his entire closet with LSU, Oregon, & Texas gear in time for next season.

However, once the game got started he was hooked.

Luke is officially cooler than his parents

Monday, January 5th, 2009

Luke has gotten so many cute outfits from friends and family. Here are a few that make him cooler than his mom and dad already.

Geaux Tigers!

Friday, January 2nd, 2009

Luke continued his indoctrination into college football madness by putting on his LSU gear and cheering on the Tigers. So far, he has been able to see two winning teams. Hopefully his winning streak continues when Texas takes on Ohio State.

Yumm. Nothing goes better together than football and formula.
