Luke is getting more cute and more fun every day. He had a doctor’s appointment on Monday, and he now weighs 14 lbs. and 6 ounces. He’s a big boy. Here are a few of his latest images of him flirting with the camera.

Luke now copies us when we stick out our tongues. Here he is letting Daddy know what he thinks of his dancing.

The doctor was impressed when she saw that Luke can already push up so high on his arms during tummy time. He’s been doing it for over a month, and we didn’t even know it was a big deal.

When asked what he thinks about the cold weather in Chicago, Luke responds, “What cold weather?”

One of the best parts of having a baby is that you get the cutest clothes for each and every holiday. Valentine’s Day was no different. This weekend Luke got to sport his “I Love Mom” and “I Love Dad” outfits in honor of the big day.

While Luke’s pouty face is pretty hilarious, unfortunately it’s usually a sign of bad things to come.

This week was full of excitement for Luke. The sun came out and the snow melted on Tuesday. The weather was so nice, we went for three walks in one day.

Luke likes to hang out on his blanket and play with toys.

When Abby sees all the attention Luke gets on his blanket, she decides she should lay there too.

Luke enjoys a rare moment of rest on the couch.

Later, Dan challenges Luke to a screaming match.

Luke’s life is starting to get more interesting. He smiles often now, and he loves when Mommy and Daddy make funny faces at him.

It puts him in a trance.

Sometimes, he tries to make funny faces back.

He can now see objects clearly and has taken a liking to staring at toys. Here he is overwhelmed with excitement as he watches is mobile.

He sometimes he gets so worn out by all of the excitement that he falls asleep in odd positions.

But his favorite thing to do is to eat. And man does he get mad when we take away the bottle to burp him. You’d think we were pulling out his toenails one by one.

Luke participated in his first play date this week, when he hung out with 5 other babies ranging in age from 1 month to 6 months. He had a fun time checking out the other babies toys and swings, and he made sure to let everyone know who had the best vocal chords!

When you’ve got a crying baby on your hands, you’ll do anything to calm him down. When Luke is especially tired but unable to be soothed, we bring out the baby carriers. He really likes being close to our bodies while he sleeps.

The Hook Em sign must be genetic, because Luke practices it as he sleeps.

Luke just couldn’t fight the sleep any longer once Daddy placed him in the Baby Bjorn carrier.
