The blog is back!

Tuesday, May 26th, 2009

Sorry for the delay in posting new pictures.  The host for our blog has gone through a major software update, and figuring it all out in between Luke’s naps has been a little challenging.  We still have a few bugs to work with the image sizes, but we’re getting there.

Cousin Rylie’s 1st Birthday Party was was a mini-family reunion of sorts.  Keith and Kelly came up from New Orleans to join in the festivities at Casey and Lauren’s house in Lake in the Hills.

Grumpy Luke

Tuesday, May 26th, 2009

Every once and a while Luke has one of those days where nothing seems to make him happy.  Luke decided that Mother’s Day (of all days) was going to be one of his top “fussy days.”  To be fair, he was in a good mood for the first couple of hours after he woke up, but it all went downhill from there.  Even his favorite “combo meal” for dinner (rice cereal and formula) couldn’t cheer him up for long.  Fortunately for us, after a full day of complaining he slept soundly through the night.

This pretty much sums up Luke's Mother's Day mood...grumpy.

As the afternoon wore on Luke started to lose it. Here he is moments before one of his several meltdowns.

Luke Checking out the World

Thursday, May 7th, 2009

In the last month Luke has gone through some amazing changes. He’s gone from a daily routine that was pretty much limited to sleeping, eating, and screaming….to one where spends almost every waking moment checking out the world around him. Highlights include rolling over (both stomach to back and back to stomach), grabbing anything and everything that comes within reach of his little hands, gobbling up cereal as fast as we can shovel it in, and of course our favorite….SLEEPING!!.

We know we’re in trouble when the phrase “wanna go for a walk” gets the same reaction from both Luke and Abby.
