Happy Birthday Luke!

Monday, December 14th, 2009

Luke celebrated his first birthday in New Orleans with a big party at Cappy and Bella’s house. Luke was shocked to see all of the people at his party, and once he warmed up to the crowd he had a great time. When it came time for the cake, though, Luke decided to play it safe. This is apparently because he doesn’t spend enough time with his grandparents, who would surely fill his belly with treats instead of the food Dan and Kasey feed him.

Thanks so much to everyone who attended the party. He had so much fun that he slept through the night, which is a sure sign of a successful day! Plus, he now has enough toys to last until he’s two!

Also, we want to give a special thanks to Cappy and Bella (Keith and Kelly). You guys sure know how to put on a great party! Thanks for taking care of the food, cake, decorations, and just about everything else that goes into a first birthday. We owe you one.

Luke’s First Experience with Snow

Monday, December 7th, 2009

We woke up this morning to the first snow of the year. Luke was a little cautious at first, but after a few minutes he was walking around like it was no big deal. Once he experiences his first face full of snow that might change a little.

Sooo Big!

While we were up in Madison last weekend, Karen and Katherine taught Luke a new trick. Based on Luke’s current weight, it’s pretty accurate too.
